I've finally got the kinks worked out for the first contest! At least... I'm pretty sure I have. Be sure to check it out in the Contest section of my journal below! I'd love to see a lot of you enter! The second contest will probably be posted a few days after this one closes. Maybe sooner, if I get extra bored and feel like multitasking...

Theme: Yu Yu Hakusho... Disney Style!

Details: The YYH characters are taking over Disney! Your mission is to draw the YYH characters taking over the roles in a Classic Disney movie!

Say... They’ve taken of Mulan? Perhaps Kurama is Mulan? And Genkai is Shang? And Hiei is the lovable Mushu? The possibilities are really endless. (Though I prefer you don’t use this example!)

You can choose from any of what Disney has dubbed as one of their “classics.” A list of these classics can be found here. (The “Everything Else” section is not valid, unless you ask and I say otherwise.) ----> [link]

Please Note: If there is a movie you’d like to do that you don’t see on the list, run it by me first! I’ll tell you if its valid or not! The only reason I’m using this list is because I’m not familiar with many of the newer Disney films!

Remember, this contest isn’t based on art skill! I’m looking for originality! So even if you think your art skills aren’t up to par, enter anyway! Yaoi, yuri, hetero… Anything goes! Be sure to keep it PG, though!

Also, please make sure that you have a description of your picture in the artists comments including which movie it is, which characters are playing whom, and a brief summary of why you chose them to play the roles you did.

Deadline: August 16th, 11:59 UTC. Winners will be announced on August 20th.

Rules:
1. The piece must contain more than just one character. I don’t want to see five million pictures of just Kurama and/or Hiei. Give the other characters some love!

2. All the characters in the piece must be uniform to the same Disney movie. (I.e. No mixing characters from The Lion King with characters from Cinderella.)

3. Absolutely no characters that appear exclusively in the movies. The movies weren’t even written by Togashi, so I don’t consider them actual characters from the series.

4. No base art or direct copies of other works. Referencing is fine, just make sure you give credit, and don’t copy the entire picture! If you do reference, you must link back to the original image!

5. No OC’s or characters from other series. Period.

6. The entry must be new. No recycling old works!

7. One entry per person.

If any of these rules are broken, your entry will immediately be disqualified. No exceptions.
The quickest way to get your entry disqualified is referencing and not giving credit, copying, or tracing. If I have any reason to believe the picture is not completely your own, you will be disqualified without question or hesitation.

How to Submit an Entry: When you have finished your entry, leave a comment on my journal with a link to your contest entry! It’s that simple!

Prizes:
First Place – Three character commissions, fully coloured/shaded, winner’s choice. One month journal feature.

Second Place – Two character commissions, fully shaded. Three week journal feature.

Third Place – One character commission, fully shaded. Two week journal feature.

Characters can either be included in the same picture or divided among separate ones. Example… For first prize, all three characters can be in the same picture, three separate pictures, or have two characters in one picture and one in another.

I am open to drawing or sculpting almost anything. Charcoal portraits are drawn in realism, but pencil sketches can be any style you desire. Prices for charcoal commissions will be worked out with each individual buyer, and are dependent upon size, subject, detail, etc.

Mini Charm: $3
- Mini charms are about the size of a penny (1/2").
- Due to their size, mini charms must come assembled with a chain and clasp, not, a keyring.

Small Charm: $5
- Small Charms are about 1" standing.
- Can come assembled with a keyring, but clasps are best.

Medium Charm: $6
- Medium charms are about 1.5-2" standing.
- Work well with either a keyring or a clasp.

Large Charm: $7
- Large charms are about 2-3" standing.
- Work well with either a keyring or a clasp.

There's been an update with the site, though! In addition to being able to see brilliant cosplay shots... You can now buy prints! Prints are fairly priced based on editing, size, and shipping costs. If they don't have a picture you'd like as a print listed in the Print Shop, I'm sure if you send a link to ~AxelSweeneyTodd asking nicely, she'll arrange to make it available for you!

In addition to this... For an extra dollar, you can have the cosplayers sign the photo just for you! Its a little flourish that can truly make the print special.

Fujiwarafotos is also kind enough to support their models! Keep in mind that 50% of all profits go back to the models in the photograph so that they can continue to do what they love and provide you with more cosplay pictures!
