I CAN KEEP GOING TO CLASSES! I just received the most wonderful news! My financial aid finally went through! A lot of you know that I've been battling for months to get my financial aid pushed through. I was promised full tuition and then denied it. After months of trips, calls, and mailing in tons of paperwork, they finalized it! I got the check in the mail today, so I can pay my momma back for this semester. What's even better, I can register for the Spring semester now, too! I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to take classes...
I'm on cloud nine right now. That takes such a huge weight off of my shoulders!
The good news doesn't stop there, though. I finally sat down over the weekend and worked on commissions. I had this sudden urge to be productive and artsy, which hasn't happened in forever! I got quite a few of them done, six to be exact, so you should see pictures soon. Thank you everyone for being so patient, and for those who are still waiting, I'm sorry and I'll get them done whenever I can! We have another showing for the house this Saturday, but maybe I can plunk myself down on Thursday (my day off) or Sunday to finish them up.
All of that commission work does not come without complaint, though. I've run into a slight problem. I ran out of black clay a while back, so I purchased a big hunk of it that's about the size of graphing calculator. I thought that would be great, since I go through black clay so quickly (I have to use it for the hair or base on a lot of my charms). It's also made by the same company that makes the clay I normally use, is able to be baked in the oven, painted, and glazed. I found out that this clay has a pretty bad reaction with the glaze I use on my charms. It makes the glaze pool and congeal differently, so I end up getting big gray globs all over anything that this black clay is made out of! Obviously I need to buy some new black clay. =___=
Ah, well, though. At least I'm getting commissions done. Like I said, I'll try and have pictures up soon. I'm really lazy about that, though. I have to transfer them and then throw them into a collage with my mad MS Paint skills. XD
That's about all I can think of to say for now. Sorry that one was so long. o.o
(Oh, chose a new CSS. The old one is working again, but I don't feel like using it, and the other one only works in full view. So have a vulpix, har har har.)
(OH! And please check out the new artist I'm featuring in the "Featured" section of this journal!)
